Creating art to me means being a "sensitive recipient" before even reaching the stage of imagination and expression. One must first be still and listen to everything around, then apply discrimination--being able to clearly judge whether even the tiniest, soft voice is something that must be listened to with the most careful attention or can be disregarded as unimportant. Confidence in one's will and sensitivity increases the richness of one's artwork, and personally gives me great reassurance.
