In producing my works, the theme I have adopted is the interest or wonder communicated to the observer through the visual senses. In my technique, I use plate glass as my raw material, then fashion the glass by depositing together a number of layers of glass. I think you will find that my current set of works entitled "-scope" is filled with things that grab you visually - as what you find when you look down from a high vantage point: the things that had looked big now look small, and the things you couldn't see clearly because they were small now look big. In producing these images, I hoped to make the viewer really conscious of forms by having them look at things from various ranges or scopes. Also, by placing my works within a building's space, I intend to create a space where people can rest the bodily tiredness of their daily grind and receive peace and a sense of comfort in their lives.
