Speed and functional beauty; that exhilaration you feel slicing through the wind; that yearning for motorcycles that began in my teens; day in, day out involvement in touring and motocross - I put the lid on all these images from my youth, and followed my father into his profession. "Past and Future - Their Unity" vestiges of the past and premonitions of the future; memory and imagination - I find images that speak of these in ancient ruins, burial goods, electronic parts, machine-tool equipment, engine parts, bird's-eye view diagrams, science fiction, architectual perspectives..... My interest is in the unknown, unfathomable unity of things. One's technical abilities as a craftsman and the ideas that come from one's work, the way one creates tools to serve necessity, and the texture of those tools - all of these lead my work to its concrete expression.
