KIGOSHI,

Since I was a little girl I wanted to lead a life in which I could devote time to creating things, to self-expression. Originality is always a prime concern in my creative work. As an artist I also highly value my regular, everyday life. I do woodblock printing and write essays, but when it comes to making glass art, I always remind myself not to push the glass beyond its limits, but rather to show off its beauty. And I try to just draw pictures and not talk too much, to allow the story in each piece to generate an image in the minds of those who see and can appreciate my work.
